Valle Gran Rey means "valley of the great king" and is a steep canyon-come-lush palm grove that opens out onto a wider coastal strip with some fairly attractive beaches. On the west side of the island. The best place for sunset on the canary islands. Lots of shops and restaurants for a village this size. It does have some German influence which for me is ok, but I guess not everyone feels the same.

Basically a German colony in La Gomera, with hippies everywhere (lots of them German). Personally i quite like hippies and germans, and the views here are incredible. A friendly place in an awe inspiring location, just beware the locals who really weren't friendly at all....

only hippies here, not really anything to see/visit the road descents into the valley, which is nice, but it is better to stay around hiking than to 'visit' this one

Valle Gran Rey is a mix of amazing nature, and beatifull landscape. Driving is very exaiting.
