We stopped by expecting an interesting city with wine to offer as Calatayud produces a lot of wine of the region. It turns out that it is quite run down and lost some of its former glory. Still for an atmosphere of what vintage slightly shabby Spanish town would look like feel free to drop by its casco antiguo.

One of my favorite places in Spain, under the shade of many trees, is taking a stroll on the promenade, or Paseo, and then just sitting back and enjoying the Paseo, waiters wait on you while sitting in the shade with your spouse, family or friends.

Just returned from a 12 day trip around Spain travelling from Carcassonne in France to La Sue d'Urgell,Calatayud Toledo,Cordoba,Granada,Velencia and Barcelona.We stayed one night at The Hospederia Meson de la Dolores in Calatayud .
