Bonn has an excellent Christmas market that winds through the streets. The main part is set against the backdrop of the huge Dom (Cathedral). The town hall is a beautiful building and some of the markets produce is hand made on the market. There is also a skating rink. Well worth the trip.

Its one of the better christmas markets with a nice atmosphere, but you have to unforuntately look after your wallet and should check the weather report before going there. There are not that many spot that you can use as an escape of snow and rain.

This was out first experience of German Christmas market and we truly loved it. Not only was it beautifully done up and the lights and the shops, the experience of being there with so many people turning up was very unique and worth exploring. Will definitely come back once again in following years

The Bonn market is special for us as it has the 'usual' German Xmas market attractions in a friendly, attractive, compact city with historical sites and shopping opportunities in walking distance and with a car available, some fabulous countryside and Rhine views on the doorstep.

This is our second visit to Bonn at Christmas and we enjoyed it just as much as last year. It is very lively lots of lovely stalls and great food and drink. There are two stalls that have singing reindeer one has two and the other one. They just really make you laugh. Have bought some very nice tree decs...

I spent a couple of days visiting the market. It is a very short walk from the rail station, and well worth going. There is plenty of good food from the vendors, and lots of gluhwein - different vendors have different types - all good. There is a really good variety of stalls, and lots of shopping.

Nice town centre and festive markets. Loved the decorations like a giant table top windmill. Comes alive at night.

This is a really nice city with a great christmas market that flows around the town centre. the town hall is a beautiful building and the atmosphere at the market is great

We visited Bonn on a day trip whilst in Cologne in December 2011. It was easy to get to by train, which took about 30 minutes, and the Munsterplatz is 5 minutes walk from both the train station and bus station.
