It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field. « less

Saw Eintracht play Dusseldorf. If you are a football fan this is the way to watch the game. Arriving near the stadium over an hour before kick-off gave us time enjoy the "Bundesliga pre-match" bratwurst & lots of beer. The stadium itself is superb & with a near capacity 52,000 attendance the atmosphere was fantastic & noisy throughout the game.... More

big stadium located outside the city. easy to access from train station. I walked through the forest and it took 15 minutes to get to the stadium. Well laid out and it has a nice club shop.

You must visit the stadium which also has a football museum. We were lucky enough to see Eintracht play in a packed stadium.Tickets very cheap compared to the UK. Fantastic stadium, spacious seats, great view, and a tremendous atmosphere.

We went to the Schlagerparty on 26 May. There was a lack of eating places but more than enough beer sellers. We had brought water and juice with us and it was confiscated at the entry points. We were very annoyed as we had checked the website beforehand and there was no mention of this.

The train from the city was easy. Nice setup with outdoor vendors for food and beverages in a friendly environment. Staff was helpful for finding where to go and even tried to help me in English. I went to a concert. I would go to a soccer game if one was happening while I was there.

I've been a long time going to the old stadium and the new one is a perfect replacement. For matches it's cheap, cheerful, good food and drink and great atmosphere. Can't be in Frankfurt without a visit here!

Excellent football stadium, although I haven't been in that many over the years. Saw a Frankfurt team play a Dresden team (sorry, not too up on my German football). Crowd was crazy, but well managed. It was easy to get to the stadium, and easy to leave. I had a great time!
