Nice shopping and people watching. A must do. It's where Stuttgart happens. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, and access to the Christmas market.
This was my second time visiting Koenigstrasse, and unfortunately most places had already closed for the evening. I'm seeing more and more large retail stores opening, which takes some of the charm away from this area. Loaded with other things to do if sightseeing is your thing. Beautiful buildings and parks.
This shopping is large: you will be walking from the central train station to the southern end of the city centre. But teh street is uninspirational: it's large chains of stores with the expected lay-out and products. No charming local shops here.
Love it and it has almost everything you need under the sun. Pretty convenient as well, tourist info is also situated at the end of the street in case you need it. And indeed, every corner you turn will surprise you.
Koenigstrasse was only a short walk from nearly all the attractions that we wanted to see in Stuttgart. At the bottom end of the street there is a fantastic Tourist Information centre with massive interactive screens - we had fun with those! Koenigstrasse is basically the main pedestrian attraction in Stuttgart; it offers all the shopping venues and restaurants of all sorts. It's pretty long and worth the walk, really because literally every attraction in Stuttgart, at some point, becomes a corner away when you're walking down Koenigstrasse.
