There is no entry fee to visit this lovely villa. It's nice to see the villa itself from the inside, but if you don't speak French you won't understand the information about the pieces exhibited - a problem! An ok visit, but I doubt I would go there again.

This is conveniently located on Promenade des Anglais with lovely gardens to enjoy as well as interesting displays inside. A bit confusing getting inside as you need to collect a ticket (free) from small gatehouse on Rue de France side to get into the main building. A lovely display depicting Old Nice.

This museum had the potential of being a real highlight in our visit - it is beautiful and has a lot of the things we find interesting - history, architecture, art, and furnishings. Unfortunately, while the French descriptions seemed quite detailed, the English translation (which I had to buy) was poorly lacking... Don't miss it - it is free and... More

The house and garden is a lovely oasis surrounded by hotels on the Promenade des Anglais, having been gifted to the City of Nice. Entrance is free but there is a strange arrangement where you have to go to a separate office to collect a token to give to the attendant on the door of the house. The ground floor... More

You can get in from the Promenade des Anglais next to the Hotel Negresco (pink domes modelled on Mata Hari's breasts apparently) or from the Rue de France. Either way you need to get tickets from the shop at the gate on the Rue de France - they're free but if you come from the sea side and try to... More

We were in the area and made a special trip to see this grand old Nice mansion which is now a free museum and beautiful gardens. We checked the days it was open but when we arrived there was a sign that it was closed for the day--very disappointing. It is in a great location facing the sea and across... More

We happened upon this lovely villa while wandering along promenade Anglais. Like most Nice museums it was free and. Gave a wonderful snapshot of Nice's development with pictures, photos and memorabilia.

This was a haven of tranquillity off the Promenade des Anglais. It is approached by a beautiful landscaped garden, and both facades (sea-facing, and the one facing Rue de France) are impressive. The public rooms on the ground floor are extremely opulent. On the upper floors (accessible by a lift), there is a great deal of information about social, cultural,... More

Obviously easy to get to if staying in the major Hotels on P des Anglais but only a 25 mins or so stroll from the center of town. A very smart 1900's Home of a Rich Man. The Ground Floor is stunning - very over the top Gold everywhere - real Belle Epoque, amazing detail. The 2 upper floors are... More

There's some great art and memorabilia here to see. It gives a great insight into France's history and it is close to the sea.
