The castle had been our aim, we just "happened" on the exhibition(there were plenty of adverts, which we had ingored). In my 60 years, I have been very rarely so filled with awe and wonder. The exhibits are superbly displayed. Visitors have time and space to view the exhibits "up close". Staff are there but in the background. To give... More

Quite a good exhibition, with some excellent art but also some modern "art" which we didn't think much of! Not a patch on Musee d'Orsay or the Louvre but really didn't expect it to be. Only 3,10 euros entrance fee. Will go back when there are special exhbitions taking place.

Looks like an another average museaum, but it had one of the best art works in the history- Perugino's- Marriage of the Virgin, which is even more perfect in person!!!

We enjoyed a pleasant hour here in peaceful and well laid out surroundings. Cheap entry and some good examples of art over recent centuries - even a Monet although not his best work.

The gallery is huge!! Make room for an hour or two to look around at all the art. There's everything from modern art to Jacobean art and from portraits to religious illustrations. The art gallery is a tardis and you can spend over two hours there. there's a little cafe outside which is perfect for food afterwards. Price wise it's... More

Many examples of artworks, from every period. Enjoyed Impressionist paintings of the Normandy region, as well as unusual modernist works.

A varied and substantial collection that probably has something to suit most tastes. The entry charge is pretty reasonable considering.

This is a lovely collection of all kinds of eclectic bits and pieces in a wonderful modern gallery in the grounds of the castle. I suspect you have you have to pay to see the collection but somehow we managed to avoid doing so - it wasn't deliberate - HONEST! Look out for the brilliant Bruegel and the lovely cubist... More

Superb food, excellent service. Good wine list with a couple of bargains. Try the home-marinated salmon!

Brilliant. For a provincial city this was a most illuminating art museum with old masters, modern art and local art as well as a sculpture park and very reasonably priced entrance fee.
