Difficult to understand how Euralille Station can possibly be considered an attraction. We were travelling with bikes bags and had to change from a TGV to Eurostar at Lille. What a depressing experience! We were only transferring between adjacent platforms but had to queue endlessly, carry bikes down escalators, queue some more in a concrete, prison-like enclosure and after being... More

The place has many panhandlers wandering in the station. Also the washrooms will cost you 50cents for each visit. The outside has multiple group of teenagers as well. Plan to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your train departure.

Older than the St. Pancras end so not as well appointed but there is a large shopping mall with a supermarekt & better places to eat next door. Check in efficient but busy & takes longer than at London end - does not open until 45 mins before departure when a long queue had built up & tickets checked 3... More

We arrived early for our return trip back hoping to sit in a warm pleasant waiting area. Having experienced Eurostar stations in London, Paris and Brussells we were expecting something similar. However the only place to sit was a small railway station room. Even when you are eventually allowed to check through (half hour before your train) it isn't much... More

Useful central location if you want to do some supermarket shopping in the centre of town and you don't have access to a car to get to an out of town hypermarket. A very large shopping centre, handy for a bite to eat or a bit of retail therapy prior to catching your train! For the uninitiated, particularly those from... More

The architect should be shot! I'd call the style of the station and its surroundings "Modern French Brutalist". The place is cold and draughty, with the very few benches strategically placed to give one maximum exposure to the draught; the prevailing colour is the dull grey of ageing concrete, and the soulless Eurostar waiting area makes one happy to leave... I hate this station. Not so much the upper concourse but once you pass through customs to wait for the Eurostar there are minimal facilities and the place is like a disused air hangar. Often you are directed down to the Eurostar platforms well before the train arrives and as it is unsheltered it can be so cold.

Any international visitors to Lille will have passed through Euralille Station (Lille Europe). The place is absolutely fine, clean enough and one feels perfectly secure when inside. However, for what is a busy international hub, it is lacking in several areas. For instance, only minimal seating is provided, and the place could do with a few more restaurants (although there... Bit of a modern monstrosity and a very boring place to wait for the Eurostar and other trains. The wind blows right through, there are limited facilities and instead of showcasing their own wares they have allowed an Irish bar. A lot of beggars as well.

We visited Lille on NYE and the station was fine with plenty of places to grab a bite. No duty free or owt like that and bugger all when you get through the departure gate thing. Perfectly good station, near the Carre Four shopping centre, several hotels and about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the old town.
