After St. Serin and Les Jacobins, St. Etienne is not as impressive or unusual. It's a bit of a walk, but not too far from Augustin.

Plenty to enjoy in this Basilica in a nice part of Toulouse completely free to wonder around and absorb the lovely atmosphere here. Very traditional. I hadn't known much about it really and it wasn't on my hit list, but managed to stumble upon it and so very glad I did.

Gorgeous sculputre, amazing art, and so quiet and serene. I was the only person in the Catherdrale...had it all to myself!

Interesting church near Rue de Metz. It has a lovely rose window and magnificent organ. The architecture is haphazard as the church was built over several centuries.

Very very interesting facade and interior due to different materials and architectural styles used. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

The spiritualness of the Mass and the ancient feel and look of this immense structure. Th e history and awareness it continues to be an active church today.

Such an interesting, magnificent and sad cathedral, all in one. Never finished, this could have been one of the most magnificent cathedrals in all of Europe - even the world. The carvings are stupendous. Artwork is well worth the visit. Gargoyles spot the brickwork outside. We happened upon this one by chance, and are happy we decided to go inside.

While for us the Cathedral played second fiddle to the Basilica, it's still an outstanding architectural work and well worth your time. Make sure to tour all around the apse and inspect all the hand-painted pattern work, some of which has obviously been marred by floods. There is so much rich detail here (particularly all around the Stations of the... More

Enjoy this lovely church that is a bit awe inspiring. It is an especially nice break after strolling the expensive and lovely shops along the Rue Croix Baragnon. Sometimes there is a small old book fair in the small triangle square near the fountain.
