Really brilliant in design and they were being cleaned and repaired when I was visiting but still enjoyed them. Such an old church and towers like nothing you will ever see.
These are beautiful towers. The tour is well run and although I considered it a little on the expensive side, I was glad that i did it. Also the walk up the stairs is a little long/steep so not easy for someone with walking problems. View from the top was amazing!
It is a beautiful church, wonderful art work and scuptures, both inside and out. You really can't beat the views, and pictures, capturing gargoyles contemplating the beauty of Paris. Get there a half hour before opening time in the morning and you may be the first in line. It is a fair amount of stairs, and yes, they are narrow and winding, but not as bad as some reviewers are making them, and Grand... More
Climbing over 400 stairs above street level provides an awesome view over the city of Paris and is worth the extra effort to get there. Not to be missed are the multiple gargoyles that stand guard on the towers. Lots of great photo opportunities!
A small waiting of some 10min and after paying the entry fee of 5.50 Euros on the northern part of the Cathedral you are allowed to go up the hundreds of stairs to the top of the Cathedral with it's wonderful views up to La Defence, Eiffer Tower and Sacre Coeur
Not the fittest of people but having climbed up all the narrow stairs the view at the top was breathtaking. The building's architecture is so beautiful and having been a town planner in the south of England I wish that my location had been in Paris. Imagine getting paid to look at a building like NOtre Dame.
beautiful beautiful beautiful... we walk from round to round and corner to corner, the detail just amazing... best time to visit in morning or late afternoon when not so much crowd and you will get beutiful photo of this amazing architecture
