For this expat NYer I was thrilled to find out just yesterday that the Bon Marche's basement floor men’s shoes department offers something that every New York man takes for granted as available on every corner but is inexistent in Paris , a professional shoe shine! And for only 5€! I never do as good a job myself! Great young... More

I was so looking forward to my sojourn to LBM and how disappointing it turned out to be. All the major lux names are there but LBM does not stock all of the current or even anything from previous season. So it almost feels like a shopping museum where you are shown catalogues of how shoes and bags appear in... More

WOW! This store has absolutely everything. Their haberdashery has the most wonderful sewing notions and embroidery materials - French cotton fabrics and the worlds most beautiful sewing boxes. I went crazy in there.

Upon entering I thought oh no another upmarket, overpriced shopping centre...2 minutes later and I was oohing and ahhing...yes the big names were there...Chanel, Hermes, etc but the prices were nowhere near as expensive as Champs Elysee stores and there was more variety of goods...it is a bit of a rabbit warren to get around but that adds, rather than... Elegant, spacious, tempting, a superb example of retailing at its best. Five floors of astonishing variety from menswear; including a barbers shop, to luxury accessories, cosmetics, perfumery, women's fashions, everything for the home, books, luggage and children's fashions. For women's fashions, not only can you discover little known designers, but many of the established couturiers found on the Avenue Montaigne.... More

Most of the products are high-end goods, and there are only 4 floors. The supermarket offers fresh and various food.

they were not many stuff to browse at. they were mostly very expensive stuff they are selling at this place. it took us only 3 minutes to leave the premise. we took 20 minutes by train to this place :( in comparison, le quatre temps (mall) @la defence area offers much more variety goods and prices.

Le Bon Marche could easily rate a five-star recommendation based on the magnitude and magnificence of their offerings, the attractiveness of their displays, the treats for the senses in their Food Court. But on several successive trips to Paris, several salespeople were inordinately rude for no reason--on different occasions. As courteous guests in this city, we almost never encounter rudeness... This modern and clean café is simply amazing. The service is very nice and majority of the staff speak good English. The dish that I highly recommend is the Lamb dish for lunch. It is to die for. The lamb is seasoned very well and is cooked to perfection, they eliminated the raw smell of the lamb expertly. The lamb... More

Oui, certainement - yes, certainly, Le Bon Marche is chock full of designer duds and accessories, but so is Galeries Lafayette and it also has its glorious glass dome. Some of the staff members I encountered gave the impression they did not appreciate visits by foreigners who are not the BCBG crowd (elegant and of the "right" French background) they... More
