The museum is located in one of the most charming Parisian neighbourhoods. The house is well kept and shows small but well curated exhibitions. It is firstly the house and not the Delacroix museum. Worth the visit if you are an artist. Small garden is worth the visit in spring.

I visited the museum in November 2012. Unfortunately, both the studio and gardens were closed. That left a few rooms with sparse furniture and paintings to visit. It was so bad that they didn't actually charge admission. I would not go here again until the studio is open. Enjoy Paris!

I am a painter and Delacroix is one of my favorites but I wouldn't come again. The smell of urine in the stairway permeated the entire museum making this a most unpleasant experience. Apparently homeless are allowed to sleep in the staircase at night or at least use it as a bathroom. The garden mentioned below was closed for a... More

We were on the street. It was raining. It was on the museum pass. Need I say .more? Four rooms. The artist is not well known to me. Experts might enjoy Much More. I hope.

This is one of my favorite quiet spots in Paris. I especially love sitting in the lovely back garden which feels like a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city. It's a small home, so it won't take an afternoon to enjoy it, and it's located in a great neighborhood for window shopping, eating, and drinking.... More

At this small quaint musem you can feel the prescence of the master Delacroix who was one of artist that completed artwork in many churches and public buildings throughout Paris. It is located in what was his residence and you can experience the lighting that he actually painted in his studio.

This small museum is in the middle of St. Germain area, but is very hard to find, until you're there ! Only after you pay 10e to get in you see how small it is. You would have to be a huge fan to find the meagre displays satisfying. I did not.

Anyone even vaguely interested in the great painter Eugène Delacroix should not fail to visit the museum devoted to him. It occupies the last of the dozen or so houses he occupied in Paris during the final years of his life, and, although it is a mere couple of minutes walk from the Saint-Germain-des-Prés metro station it is a quiet... Just one thing - there were exactly 3 pieces by Delacroix. Rest was either by his friends or influenced by him. Good thing we had this included in our Paris Musem Pass, or I would feel I have been ripped off.

Eugene Delacroix, the leader of the French Romantic painters, who died in 1863, just before the Impressionist onslaught, had a lot of friends. If not for them this small museum, well-located in the St. Germain area of Paris, would not exist. Practically all of his important work can be found in the Louvre. Here you find a few paintings and... More
