Only the display on Champagne was open but it was most interesting ranging from information to art to frivolity. Musee is easy to find and well worth the visit.

This small museum is currently showing an exhibition on Champagne that draws some exquisite glass, paintings, and objet d'art from all over the world, including a champagne flute from the collection of Marie Antoinette, drawings by Picasso, one of the oldest champagne glasses in the world and wonderful Art Deco champagne posters.

The permanent collection of art was nice but the part we liked best was the temporary exhibit about the history of champagne (the drink) and how it is linked to Champagne (the region). It was free for students so we didn't feel bad just browsing rapidly (we stay about 30 minutes total, which was enough for us to see everything).

The two rooms we saw were 20th century art. The rest was temporaily closed. They reduced the ticket price by 1 euro as a gesture but still too little to see, we were in and out in half an hour!

Maybe because of the time of the year, there were only 4 halls opened to the public. The entrance fee was only 3 Euros, but there was not much to see. We did not get a diagram of the Museum to at least have an idea of what we were looking at, except for the labels next to each piece.... More

Nice displays of late medieval through modern art can be found here. Some sculptures and a couple of nice collections were being hosted when I attended. Building is a former abbey and is impressive in itself. Well worth the effort...Since your here.

Paris museums can overwhelm with quantity, so it's a nice contrast to see focus on several pieces that combine to show an artist's range.

I was surprised at the breadth and size of the collection, and the number of excellent works held here, including the Death of Marat, but also the Corots, Monets and other less well known but also impressive artists. Excellent value at 3 Euro.

There are many paintings on display in this museum. I never thought I'd be so bored by Corot as an artist as I was while filing past his 21 paintings here. Perhaps it's the reality that regional galleries hold lots of second rate works by first rate and second rate artists and that after a while they pall. After all,... More

Wow, what a collection. You could see everything in about 2.5 hours. Lots of different movements and time periods represented.
