The gardens are well kept, pretty and the facilities for children are excellent. Well worth a relaxing wander round to escape the stress of retail therapy.

Sometimes when attractions are on your doorstep you don't visit them. However, living 5 minutes walk away from the Valley Gardens I can honestly say I never tire of walking through them. Ideal for every member of the family, from skateboarding to feeding the ducks, to just sitting and watching the world go by. I cannot recommend enough..
Wonderful place especially for kids, we use all year round. Feed the ducks, take a bike ride, play in the park, have a ice cream and or coffee, play golf, tennis, crazy golf, have a go in the skate park or in the warmer months a paddle in the swimming pool.... great for all the family
Lovely gardens and lots of things for kids to do as the playground and skateboard park are great. The equipment in the playground is unusual and great fun. There is a paddling pool for warmer days. Our grandchildren loved it.

The gardens were lovely during the day - we took our dog on many walks around and through the gardens. But at night it felt unsafe - only around half of the street lights are working. Such a shame.
I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Valley Gardens.Thank you for pointing out that some of the street lamps are not working. We have reported the issue and hope to have the lights repaired shortly. More
