I was unaware of how Waterford crystal is created and now I know. To see each piece hand carved/crafted by the artists makes you realize that each piece is a work of art and well worth the cost. You should visit.
The guides are enthusiastic and full of information. It was great to be so close to the craftsmen, and you could actually ask them questions.
It was incredible to see crystal being created before our eyes. The tour explains everything from beginning to end. Then the finally! You are introduced into their showroom with all the crystal you could want to purchase.
We almost didn't go on the Waterford Crystal tour but I'm glad we changed our minds. It was very interesting to watch the craftsman make the crystal. You get to see each step of the process - from the initial glass blowing to the cutting to the etching. The craftsman are very friendly and stopped what they were doing to...

We really enjoyed the factory tour. It was amazing watching the craftsmen up close on how they create the beautiful pieces by hand. All the children in the group really enjoyed watching the glass blowers make some pieces right in front of us. The only part I did not care for was the 5 minute movie in beginning - it...

The tour takes you behind the scenes and shows you how crystal is made. Our guide was very knowledgable and willing to answer all of our questions. It was amazing seeing the craftsmen at work. My husband even got to hold one of the American football trophies! We did wind up in a group of only 6 people, so I...

Although this is a very popular tour, we were treated as though it was the first time the guide led a group. We were allowed to stop, talk with the employees and photograph at will throughout the manufacturing facility. Very interesting, very educational and well worth the money.
We went around the shop area and were amazed by the sheer quality of the many creations in crystal . Didn't have enough time for the factory tour .
