As Sligo beaches go, Dunmoran is fine, but not in the premier division. We are kinda spoiled for choice. However, the views of Knocknarea, Ben Bulben and Ben Whisken across the bay are stunning and make this tranquil little corner of Ireland worth a visit. If you have a little time, the Beach Bar at the far end of the... More

Well worth a visit, even on a cloudy day. Have been here 3 yrs in a row for a wonderful charity fundraiser, and the sea is definitely exhilarating! If planning a day visit, bring picnic as this is an unspoiled and remote location, therefore stunning.

Wonderfully long beach in fairly remote location. Beautiful. Loved the long strand and the closeness to Aughris pier.

just off the coast road in West Sligo. Fairly easy access with concrete ramp, a few rocks at bottom.Tide has to be out to be able to walk the beach. Lovely views

A little out of the way from Sligo town, but that's the appeal as it's generally quieter than the Sligo beaches. Clean, nice and unless its winter, the sea will be calm! Great views across to Sligo too!
