Visit Siamsa, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland, in Tralee. The building itself is interesting and usually houses an Art exhibition. Siamsa performances are a wonderful re-enactment of Irish dance, stories and song performed by an excellent cast. Don't miss it! Siamsa show run from Easter to late September approx More

This show was very entertaining with music, song and dance. The theater has good seating. We were near the back row but we could see the performance very well. The seats are staggered so that you aren't looking at the back of someone's head. The program explains the different scenes and was a great aid in following the story. More

The performance of 'Children of LIr' by Siamsa Tire was the highlight of my 10 day trip to Ireland. The beauty of the music, matched with the flowing energy of the dance was truly heart-warming. The complexity of the choreography and the virtuosity and vitality of the dancers was inspiring. More

Beautiful musical interpretation of The Children of Lir legend. The children in the piece were wonderful and the story was told so well through dancing, singing and traditional music. Brilliant theatre. The best of Ireland. More

My sister, daughter and I attended a performance here several years ago during a stay in Tralee. When we visited Killarney the year after, we wanted to see another show. Unfortunately, we couldn't go in the evening, but the box office offered to let us during a morning performance for schoolkids. It was even more fun for my daughter, and... More

We were passing through Tralee, which is a very quaint little town and as we took a walk through the local park we found what appeared to be this ring fort building which turned out to be a theater. This has to be the best kept secret in Kerry as our tour guide had never heard of it.. We went... More

We have just come back from our trip to the west of Ireland and this was our highlight. 20 performers singing and dancing and retelling ancient Irish myths and legends. We booked our tickets on the website www.siamsatire.com as we were advised that they sell out quickly. It was the best 25 Euro we spent.. The staff were so accommodating... More

We went to Siamsa Tire at the end of Summer last year, it was a gorgeous evening and the show was absolutely excellent. It was based on the Blasket Islands and the ensemble 25 cast and musicians were superb!!! Our tickets were very reasonable but we got returns as it was sold out so we were actually lucky to get...
