We stumbled upon this by accident on our way for lunch and it ended up being the highlight of the weekend. My two friends were not at all into Irish History but came along to keep my company - and loved it! Not too far to walk as much of the Rebels history is centred around the square. A whistle... More

Lorcan Collins is a proud and passionate Irish man who speaks from the heart. He provides an excellent description of the events of the 1916 Easter Rising and takes you to all of the relevant sites. I had the impression that if he could go back in time, Lorcan would have been at the Post Office standing shoulder to shoulder... More

We did this walking tour and it was great. Terrific for history buffs, very informative. Bring your walking shoes and raincoat as you are on your feet for the whole tour, and are out and about all over Dublin. More

I went on the 1916 tour last week while in Dublin. It was great!! Not only did Lorcan know the history of Ireland and its issues, but he was able to connect it to other events around the world. SInce it was my first time in Dublin, the walking tour and his perspective gave me a good understanding of Ireland... More

Some of those on our tour clearly knew lots about the subject, not me. This was a good introduction, gave me a real feel for the Irish point of view. Also helpful orientation to Dublin. Tour guide loves his subject, is a skilled presenter. More

I took this tour last week with two friends. We are all History students at Maynooth College. The tour was so informative and friendly and we could not believe the two hours or so passed so quickly. Lorcan conducts his tour in a lively, robust and often funny manner, yet he really knows his history and we felt he could... More

As a Dubliner, I have grown up surrounded by stories of the 1916 Rising. When I heard of this tour I simply had to do it and was delighted that I did. Lorcan's tour is fantastic and informative. Whenever I have visitors I recommend this tour to them and they always enjoy it (as do I!) The tour is about... More

Like a lot of English people this part of history seems to have been missed out on our school curriculum and having done the Kilmainham Gaol tour the previous day I wanted to find out more. The guide was very informative but was not one of the regualr tour guides. Whilst he was good i did think at times he... More
