The 1916 rebellin tour was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Ireland. Lorcan really made the experience wonderful, very knowledgable and personable. I enjoyed it so much I bought a copy of his book and am now reading it! more

We had the privilege of participating in Lorcan's amazing tour during our weeklong trip to Ireland and it became one of the most memorable experiences. The material was presented the material in a fresh and interesting manner with a breadth and sense of humor that provided exactly the right tone. more

What a great walking tour! Lorcan was so knowledgable and witty. I noticed that he made sure to walk at some point with each and every person on the tour, getting to know them and finding out interesting things about them. As soon as we got back to the states my son went on Amazon and bought 2 copies of Lorcan's... more

Took the 1916 Walking Tour on a recent trip to Dublin. Meeting place is outside the International Bar in Exchequer Street, Dublin. There you meet Lorcan Collins, local historian, and brilliant Irish Wit! Lorcan brings the 1916 Uprising to life, in a balanced and very Irish'd Humor way. I have taken many walking tours throughout the world but this so... more

There are several walking tours in Dublin and it can be overwhelming choosing one. I was only there for 4 days, so the time went fast. I am SO GLAD I went on the 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour--it was really a highlight of my trip. I learned so much about Irish history and the guide, Lorcan, was hilarious!!! He managed... more

How does Lorcan Collins make history so interesting? The subject matter is certainly interesting, but Collins turns the day into a wonderful experience with his passion and compelling enthusiasm. Imagine having Conan O'Brien as a tour guide. You will learn a lot while also laughing a lot. How does he do it? I dunno. Check it out for yourself. You... more

I attended the Easter Rising Walking Tour last week while I was in Dublin with a group of students from the university where I teach. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Irish history. Since I was with a large group, we may have had a slightly different walking tour than they normally do, but it... more

Brilliant, a very interesting and fun tour. As an Irish person I was worried it would be very basic, but he was able to give a great amount of detail in a way that was easy to understand. Lorcan was very knowledgeable and friendly. A must for anyone with even a fleeting interest in the Rising and that era of... more

Lorcan knows his subject inside out and speaks with a passion and knowledge that I found both compelling and truly inspirational. I was transported back to a bygone era and thoroughly enjoyed the tour which not only educated but entertained. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour to any of my friends visiting Dublin. more
