A member of my family recommended this and it was average. The person who usually does this tour had a replacement that day. It is not cheap and I did not feel it was a great value. Overall good historical tale, but did not feel it was delivered with much passion. More

If it's historical you're after then this is perfect. The guide was lovely and genuinely into his subject. We would have preferred less information on a few more sights for our 2 hours but that is just a preference thing and not a slight against this well organised and well delivered tour. Would reccomend to my parents if not my... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the Historical Walking Tour of Dublin yesterday. The friendly tour guide, Tommy, was knowledgeable, engaging and he brought the past to life as we stopped at a number of key attractions in the city. His sense of humour and detailed knowledge of Irish history and politics made the tour topical as well as interesting. I would say... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to stumble across this tour of Dublin and Ireland's history. Peter, our entertaining and illuminating guide, took us through Ireland's history in two hours from the Vikings to the present day, with lots of funny and moving stories. The walk wasn't a long one but covered a number of key spots. The tour... More

My husband (German) and I (Irish) enjoyed a historical walk on Sun Nov 20th. The tour is superb managing to give an excellent overview of Irish history and the development of Ireland as it is today.. The explanations around the emergence of Irish Nationalism and why this was not synonymous with Irish Catholicism are first class. This tour is a... More

The tour was amazing. It's given by history majors from Trinity college, and our particular guide, Gavin, gave us a thorough background of Trinity College, the Central Bank, Temple Bar, City Hall and the Castle. A bit tangential at times, his spontaneity made the visit all the more sincere, as he hesitated not to give not only his opinion of... More

A brilliant overview of Irish and Dublin history from the Vikings through to the present day economic troubles. John gave a very articulate account of our colourful history whilst allowing time for every question and wistful remark. He mixed humourous tangents with serious history lessons to achieve a thoroughly enjoyable 2.5hr tour. As an Irish native I found it a... More
