Watched a few people putting their padlocks on was so romantic. Looked beautiful at night. Would like to visit again to put a lock on there <3

pretty little bridge, that I used to see in the title sequence for fair city! nice to walk on but not with a buggy! crosses over the liffey into temple bar.
Pretty bridge, gets you to the other side of the Liffey whilst providing a nice view of it. Directly opposite the bridge is an arch & alley which takes you direct into the middle of the Temple Bar area :)
just a beautifull bridge, but it does connects to good side of the city. one side you go through the alley straight into the middle of Temple Bar , on the other side you get into the heart of henry street at Jervis shopping :)
Had to visit this bridge, cute padlock idea and also another custom to spit into the Liffey from here for luck!!
However, I witnessed a pickpocket gang stalking (like jackals), some young girls who were waiting to cross the road - the traffic lights take a long time for you to wait....these druggy gang females were about to mug one...

To-day it's not just a useful route for Dubliners travelling between the two major citycentre shopping areas of Henry Street & Grafton Street, but also a great vantage point / photo-opportunity for...

Stayed on parnell street at the awfully staffed Jury's Inn and took a stroll along Half Penny bridge towards Temple Bar to apply my padlock, that I'd bought in Mullingar , to the arch on the bridge.
On one side I wrote my Grandma and Grandad's marriage year and on the other my Mam and Dad's, then threw a key...

such a lovely little bridge that crosses the Liffey, the bridge is covered in padlocks,we were tol by a local that people go there and get engaged, they then attatch the lock to the bridge and throw the key into the river, this means that their love will last forever.
A nice bridge, great views of the river, it gets you to the otherside too. Worth crossing! Worth a visit too..
