If you have an interest in bible or religious history this is a must visit. With fragments of copies of the Gospels from as early as 150AD on display, you are looking at the beginnings of the Christian world. Good displays and educational media for Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism also. Not great for younger children but if you want to... More

Very interesting collection requiring repeated visits in order to take it all in but well worth spending an hour or two going through the exhibits which are beautifully displayed and leaves you with a completely different view of the Orient. We are very privileged to have such a collection in Dublin. Good on site facilities including food and refreshments. More

I stopped by after visiting an exhibition in the Chester Beatty Library, and had a coffee and cake at this cafe afterwards. Quick service, good food and drink in a cosy environment. Definitely a bonus and another reason to visit the Library. More

I dropped into the Chester Beatty Library as I had some free time between meetings, on my way to the Chester Beatty Library I enjoyed the peace of the Garda Garden of Rememberance which is nearby, the Chester Beatty Library is fantastic, historic/ancient scripts from the time of Jesus and beyond, what a collection and all free to see. This... More

It has a great collection of books and other artifacts from all different regions and religions. It's wonderful that these are on display for free. The library was... More
