The proclamation of Irish Independence was read outside this building and there was fighting outside of here during the War of Independence. You can still see the bullet marks on the walls. More

Nice building. In the centre if Dublin. Kept in good condition. Have a look for the bulletholes in the pillars. I think you can do a tour of the inside but not shure More

Unique building in the centre of Dublin. Steep yourself in Ireland`s history . Visit the museum or see the moving display and music at Christmas. More

The Hop On Hop Off Bus tours are great and the GPO is packed with history--a not to be missed site! We also used it as a Post Office and had help mailing our packages and postcards all over Europe and home to the USA! More

A great little museum inside telling the history of the postal service in Ireland, going back to when we were under British rule. Also an interactive display telling you what happened inside the GPO during the fighting. Very well done More
