We ddin't fancy going out drinking so this was the perfect low key evening for us. The IFI is based around a courtyard and looks fabulous. We had coffe and cake in the cafe and followed it with two movies. We were in screens 1 and 3 and both were super comfortable, stylish and clean. The institute has a fantastic... More

Love the IFI Unless you know it's there it is easy to walk past - don't! Even if you don't want to see a great range of European/Indie films there is a great bar and restaurant and shop selling film books and DVDs

This (and the lighthouse cinema) is my favourite place in town to see a film as it has all the ingredients for a nite out in addition.A discerning audience, enjoying great film choices in comfortable seats minus the chewing and rustling of popcorn, sweet papers and general noise melee in almost all other cinema's .

This is everything one could possibly want in a urban cinema - great films, beautiful building, good price, a reliable bar and restaurant for before and after, and even a library of film books. It is hopping, hip, and so much fun. It has a remarkable urban feeling - like everything is going just a little faster. One of my... More

We were attracted by the atrium that we glimpsed from the road, so ventured in for a coffee. The space is light and bright - a beautiful blend of old and new architecture. We didn't catch a film, but noted the small cinemas, the shop with a huge range of DVDs and the excellent array of information. Ireland's only Oscar... More

Didn't visit to view a movie but noted several lesser known titles advertised. The restaurant provided a good lunch at a reasonable price from a fairly extensive menu. Worth a visit if only to look at the architecture of the covered courtyard area.

The cinema is excellent & the venue is nice but the staff & clientele simply try too hard. Bit of a hipster hangout with very patchy service. Staff have the tendency to forget you're there. A shame.

I really like this place, for the atmosphere and the cinema experience. Some of the screens are small so you need to be there early to get a decent seat. I really like that it's not a conventional cinema but sometimes I do wish they sold popcorn!

Great for fish and chips and a pint of Guinness before or after a film - and there's always something good to see on here. Love the casual almost "studently" atmosphere.

The nicest cinema in Dublin. Great vibe. Lovely place to go for a coffee, drink or bite of food before a movie.
