For our last full day of vacation to Dublin, we signed up for a bus tour of the Irish country side. We started at the pickup point on Nassau Street near College Green in downtown Dublin, winded our way thorugh the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough, continued to the through the mountains, past the Wicklow gap, back to low lands and... From the very beginning of the tour there was a wealth of information provided to us about Dublin, Ireland and the tour itinerary for the day. The guide gave us historical information as well as telling us about parts of Dublin, the suburbs, and traffic as we left the city. He continued providing us with his knowledge of Glendalough and... We were just in Dublin for a long weekend and loved our full day (9a-6p) tour with Gerry at Collins Day Tours. The bus was most punctual in picking us up at the chosen hotel and then we were quickly on our way. I highly recommend the Wicklow/Glendalough/Kilkenny tour. I was a bit dubious as not many reviews appear for... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our day-long visit to Glendalough and Kilkenny--and we had the added bonus of the tour bus picking us up at our hotel, the Conrad Dublin at approx. 9 a.m.. The bus was very comfortable, and our driver and tour guide were both excellent hosts for our group. Although we had intermittent rain throughout the first half our... More

While Kilkenny Castle was a bit of a letdown, not one of my top European Castles. I'd still recommend this tour based solely on their 2 excellent walking tours. The 1st was at Glendalough and the 2nd through the old streets of Kilkenny. Both very enjoyable walks. More

Went to a tour to the beautiful north dublin bay and the howth peninsula. The tour was from 9:30 to approx. 13:00. We were only 9 people from all around the world but still had a big coach which was quite a surprise. We didn't expect a coach for about 50 people. We first went to Malahide castle where we... More

This was a truly fantastic tour. It is set up so that you really maximize time -- Glendalough (the lake and the abbey), the Wicklow countryside and Kilkenny all in one day is a lot but it didn't feel rushed. Very reasonably price and our guide was fantastic! Definitely go with this tour if you want to get out of... More

We had a good time. The guide tour was very friendly. I think the time wasnt enough in Glendalough. More

My friends and I (5 intotal) made this Day Tour with Collins Day Tours last week. We had a really nice day. Our guide was great and told us a lot of history and stories. The driver was also very good and the bus was comfortable. We can recommend this for a nice day out of Dublin. More

My husband, my mother and I did the Wicklow tour with driver Pete and Guide Steven last monday (7th March) and we had a really good day. Steven is an incredibly devoted guide, with the best explanations about everything and very kind. We leart a lot of things with him, not only about the places we were visiting, but also... More
