It is also the home of the Inverness Whisky Festival, BrewDog's Brew at the Bog and the Northern Roots Festival. Please note, as of 2011, the farm has been under new management and no longer has a restaurant, pottery studio, children's outdoor activities, farm shop or insect animal sanctuary. We now focus on putting on fantastic barn events!Bogbain is based only 3 miles south of Inverness on the A9. It’s convenient location means access is easy from anywhere in the country, but it also has oodles of Highland charm, and stunning views across the Moray Firth. The venue can cater for 120 guests for a meal and up to 250 for the evening dance. We also have ample space for a marquee outside.Unique features include a saloon bar, a cocktail bar, red-stone cobbled flooring, a Desperate Dan pie stove, an accordion collection, full disabled access and toilet facilities, original stone walls and timber beams, vintage farm machinery and lots of space to have a great time!We are fully licensed for religious and civil ceremonies. « less

We recently went to Bogbain for the Brew At The Bog festival. The venue was great, really unusual. It would be perfect for a wedding :).

My daughter got married in Oz, but wanted to celebrate with all her friends and family in Scotland. She picked this amazing venue for the bash!!(Winner of best unusual venue in Scotland!!!) Yvonne(Bogbain's Wedding Consultant) was fantastic, and was hands on throughout!\We all worked together to decorate the already stunning venue.(Beach themed-sand/seashells/tealights+++ shell fairy lights etc...)So the night arrived-stormy and... I visited Bogbain as part of a business trip looking at possible venues for events. Bogbain has everything. Knowledgeable staff including an excellent musician who plays with Blazing Fiddles. A variety of atmospheric rooms to suit different events from weddings to musical evenings and dancing. They can also do outdoor events for corporate days with food and refreshments. Smewhere a... A bit of a miss mash, this one. More hit than miss I am afraid. No cafe or restaurant to give you even a modest coffee and bacon roll, in addition Sunday roasts are sadly no longer available. Typical of a lot of Scottish tourist "attractions" in its amateur hobbyist approach, which promises a lot but fails to deliver in... More

Hi there, Thanks for your comments. Bogbain Farm is one of the areas most exciting up and coming venues, being the home of the Inverness Whisky Festival, BrewDog's Brew at the Bog and the Northern Roots Music Festival. It is also the host of many gigs throughout the year and has recently moved into the wedding market with great success.... More

Adoration only for this place. What a STUNNING venue with quite literally the nicest staff I have encountered. What a wonderful atmosphere, just such a shame there's no shuttle bus offered complimentary back and forth!

Was a regular visitor here but due to family circumstances, I haven't been for a while but I know that if anything, it will have only got better. Lovely shop, great food and drink, brilliant entertainment, kids love it and plenty of activities going on outdoors too.

Found about about this site and planned to visit it. Then when we were up there we rang the number to be told they no longer ran activities at the Farm itself! Having looked at the web site I see it has changed 'hands' - and focus. It now runs only cooperate type events! It needs to make sure publicity... More

Hi there Thanks for your comments! We always suggest checking out a place's website before visiting - we're sorry you were disappointed on this occasion, but we can't be held responsible for how others advertise us, no matter how hard we try to get the word out there that we are a private hire venue which is used for festivals,...
