With each new season the outside gardens are an explosion of colour and texture, and borders are planted to demonstrate a wide variety of plants and growing conditions. The impressive glasshouses reveal the drama of plant diversity ranging from the tropical rainforests to arid, heat scorched desert. « less

Walk round gardens was informative and for a reasonably small space was packed with plants and flowers. Clean cafe, but prices a bit high for food, staff friendly

We've had membership here for a few years. It's so reasonably priced. It's a great place to take the kids on a wet day, they love playing hide and seek amongst the plants. Yesterday the weather was good and my 2yr old had great fun exploring the outside paths and even sat patiently (for a few minutes) to watch the... More

I'm surprised by how much I liked the floral hall. The admission price was reasonable given that the garden isn't incredibly large. The glass houses were a great chance to warm up and feel like it's a nice spring day and the cacti made us think of home. The staff were very nice and the cafe had some good treats... More

Och, it was just straight down that road over the river!!!!!!!!!!!Straight against a Baltic wind!!!!!!!!!!! However, the Botanic glasshouses were nice and warm.(Unfortunately, not a patch on Glasgow or Edinburgh for content). Curator was welcoming and informative. Café was busy and service was slow. Young family next to us were served raw baked potatoes. Our soup and toastie were fine.Perhaps... More

Our host at Castle Stuart mentioned the Floral Hall to us as a potential place to visit for those who enjoy gardens. We had not seen it mentioned in any tourbooks but decided to give it a try. We were extremely pleased with the tremendous variety of beautiful plants.
