Having been persuaded by my son to join him for this clay pigeon shooting experience, I even managed to talk my very cautious wife into participating. The staff were excellent as was the instruction - most of our five-strong party were completely inexperienced but by the end of the tuition, we were hitting more clays than we missed. We experienced... More

Osprey watching, wildlife trips, quad biking and so on. Enthusiastic staff and lots more. The Osprey watching at their own fish farm is outstanding BUT not cheap for photographers although they do offer great facilities with exceptional staff to help. Be prepared for a 5 am start though.....

We booked online, did the clay pigeon shooting... Our instructor Paul was great! Knowledgable and fun! We also did the quad trekking! Our guide Andy was funny, nice and helpful.. Great time out! Did the the tree top experience ... Loved it! Our guide Jenny was knowledgeable and encouraging through out our adventure! Would recommend all three!

When we first arrived on our holiday we went and booked up a couple of things at Rothiemurchus (it seemed to be well advertised so we didn't want to miss out!). We booked a Silver clay pigeon session for the morning and then a quad bike run in the afternoon. Neither of us had done clay pigeon shooting before -... More

We did a couple of activities during a recent visit to the area. Clay pigeon shooting was great fun with excellent tuition, has definitely inspired us to seek out a local club. The instructor went out of his way to make it as much fun as possible, something the whole family can do together. We also went on a Landrover... More

We decided to book a session at the clay pigeon shooting on our way to Cairngorm Mountain Railway and were not disappointed. Before we go on any further we really must make a special mention of our Instructor for the day, Paul. Simply excellent and made our experience a pleasure. The clay pigeon shooting is worth the money and is... More

Me ( beginner horse riding with 1.5 hour riding experience) and my girlfriend ( 24 years of experience) had great rides at the rothiemurchus pony trekking. Improved my riding a lot, good teacher, lot of background info, good horses, well taken care off horses and nice area to ride in. I weigh 13 stones but that was no problem at... More

I live in the Lake District which is renowned for its beauty. But I'll take any excuse to go up to Aviemore and into the Cairngorms for a visit. So much history all round, from the Lochs, Glens and old ruins scattered across the landscape! Any time of year, its worth a visit.

When the wind was too strong for skiing we spent a very enjoyable afternoon Quad biking on the Rothiemurchus Estate. The bikes were great and the instructor Mike was a very calm and reassuring influence - which my nervous 13 year old daughter much appreciated. It wasn't too cheap at £42 hour but the thrill and the scenery made it... More
