If you get the chance to go into this building then don't hesitate as you will be in awe of it. The staircases are of solid marble and the colours amazing.

Glasgow's signature building. It looks like something straight out of a Victorian fantasy totally dominating George Square. It is especially lovely in the late afternoon sun. George Square as well is a nice place to just hang out and people watch. It really reminds one of Glasgow's heyday as very rich city in the UK and Europe.
The outside is lovely, and the two staircases are brilliant (and made for great photos.) We did the free tour just to pass the time and were very pleased that we did.
It is one of the most beautiful and important buildings of the city, no doubt thanks to its central location in George Square, makes it easily accessible.
I liked the whole context between the building itself and the monument placed in front on it.
The square is very beautiful with its panoramic wheel and the many people who daily flock...

When entering the city chambers I was happy to learn there was a tour soon and thus waited for it.

What a fantastic place to have next to Georges Square. The staff were attentive & helpful. The food out of this world, ambiance exceptional & only complaint was the choice of drinks were limited especially as I dont drink alcohol. The building you have to see to believe it. Never seen so much marble outside Italy. Please go & visit....

we went along to hear the 50th Anniversary concert of the Glasgow Senior Citizens' Orchestra which was held in the City Chambers. This is my first visit to the City Chambers and I was very impressed. It is a public space and I believe that visiting is encouraged. Certainly it is worth going along to see what the victorian architects...

What a beautiful building. Well worth the time to take a guided tour. Incredible architecture. And a lot of history about the city.
This absoluetly beautiful building has an impressive staircase with a high ceiling and pillars and carvings. The building contains several function rooms, all of which were comfortable and in good decorative state.
Nicest building of the city of Glasgow on the nicest Square of the city. A must see! A few steps away from Buchanan street.
