I know the building has been renovated in the last few years. Aesthetically this building look fantastic however inside it feels a little bit dated. We were seated in the grand circle in the back row, we were meant to be in the upper circle however it was closed so we were moved down to the 2nd tier. The seat... More

Mercifully I am slim and of average height, so I have been to the Usher Hall several times. However, anyone who is tall, especially if they have long legs, or who is overweight, should choose their seat very carefully. This concert hall is very impressive from the outside, inside it is from times past, when people were smaller and shorter.... More

the bar area is directly opposite the sliding door entrance so its extremely cold. The bar is cordoned off with a rope and the rope is so low that it presents a trip hazard for people particularly the elderly whose eyesight is not so good. Im not sure why it was cordoned off in this way and one poor old... More

Usher Hall is a good old fashioned concert venue. A bit austere maybe in its style but with a nice acoustic. It is the Edinburgh home of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. A RSNO concert is recommended. Under new conductor Oundijan they are building on the legacy of Stephen Deneve with new exciting repertoire. Highly recommended - better value and... More

Comfy seats which are well positioned so you get a great view from whereever you are sitting. Have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. We didnt use the bar area so cant pass judgement although it did look... More

Thank you for this. On-street parking is available near the Usher Hall and there are other car-parks nearby too, such as The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Riego Street. We are currently negotiating with NCP and if we are successful in obtaining a reduced rate for our audience, we will of course let everyone know. Kind regards More

We took my parents to see the Rat Pack concert as part of their Christmas gift. It's been many years since I was here. The place is beautiful, the sound good and the seats comfy. What wasn't great was the so-called bar. The first one we found was little more than a room with a table at one end...NO seats... More

Thank you for your comments including those regarding the bar. Spirits are available now and we will continue to review our prices. While we are aware that some people would prefer to have glasses, the practicalities in dealing with over 2000 people has meant we have opted for a plastic option. We’re glad you’re enjoying our concerts, the acoustics are... More

Our first trip to Usher Hall (to see Runrig on the last night of their 2012 tour). And I really hope it won't be our last. Spacious, clean, full of lovely features. Seating provides lots of leg room (in the stalls anyway). No queue for the bar or for the loos either. Friendly staff too. Just an all round lovely... More
