Lovely site for passing a couple of hours as a tourist. Great venue to be married or attend a wedding. Friendly staff & there is a nearby shopping center that accommodates all ages. Well connected by road infrastructure & easy access to Cumbria, Northumberland & The Lakes.

what a great venue for a small wedding. very intimate and historical. don't wear too high heels for standing but apart from that no problems at all. fab area for photos of bride and groom.

Well worth a visit. Anybody interested or fascinated by the history behind the blacksmiths in Gretna could not love to visit.

couldn't wait to call in to the Famous Blacksmiths Shop...and we were not disappointed...everyone was so friendly...there were loads of people milling about and nothing was a bother to anyone...the staff always had a lovely smile on their faces and were very willing to help with any enquiry...it was great, I would recommend anyone to visit.

This place is famous for people running away to get married at and people are still getting married today so they are keeping up the tradition. Interesting to visit although not that much to see really. There is a maze that couples can take in it is free. One starts at one entrance and the other at the other and...

My wife and I popped in to Gretna during our honeymoon as a bit of a joke, and had been warned that there was nothing there to see or do, so we were pleasantly surprised to stumble across the Famous Blacksmiths Shop.
The old buildings have been converted into a range of shops, offering local goods and more generic Scottish...

We visited Gretna Green for the first time ever on Wednesday 29th May during the half term holidays. Although we arrived early before 11am it was surprising to see that there were already many coaches and cars parked up with many visitors enjoying the attraction.
