At end of a weekend in Derry, we were looking for a good hour-long walk.
After 5 minutes drive through some minor roads, you come to a car park. Keep driving, though, to the cottage / visitor centre. No tea/coffee... Consider bringing something to drink.

Great for teh bike too. Been here for a runa round in on the mountiain bike after a big cycle. Hard to beat.
This place is great with new walkways around the forest with views over the waterfalls. Might be an idea for kids to wear wellies!

Had a lovely walk in the Ness woods. New walks have been opened and there is now a visitor's centre and clean toilets. Well done. A great outing for the family.
Lovely , lovely walk,I'm not the fittest of people but still managed the water fall walk easily despite the many steps, there is a much flatter walk for those not so mobile with a good path for wheelchairs/prams. We had a picnic and there were lots of picnic tables was a great place to stop off at on our way to...

Beautiful peaceful spot for a lovely walk. Paths are flat around the centre and and lengths of walk can be suited to individuals. Be aware though that the walk to the water fall is quite steep and the path is not particularly good . Need good walking shoes to attempt it.
No, there are no Ents there, but it is a stunning walk with great views and small bridges to play poo sticks. take the dog and the kids.
