Definitely add this to your holiday plan in Cardiff. Perhaps not the most imposing castle, but the displays are well set up and maintained, the central keep is great to explore, and the Bute family mansion is lovely to walk through. Wont take you too long, definitlely worth doing.

Located right in the center of the city, easy to get around, lots of interesting things to see in the castle. Well maintained.

Great place to visit. Took water taxi up from Cardiff Bay and returned in afternoon on tour bus back to room. Nice history lesson.

I love this castle, my 2nd visit you need to go there when the weather is nice to enjoy the outdoors, the grounds. Lovely decorated appartments, nice museum where you can try some uniforms, and a nice staff member is here to advise you. You need to go as well to Caerphilli castle , 20 min away from there

This castle is in excellent condition and a great place to learn about the history of Wales. The extra 3 pounds for the premium tour is well worth it. Our guide Dee was informative and told great stories. The rooms we visited were awesome! Plan on spending a few hours here.

Well worth paying the little bit extra for the complete tour which includes seeing inside some fascinating rooms. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and helpful. If you're not afraid of the steep steps, do go up the tower for the great view.
