I took a lady here with learning disabilities and it was nice to find a place of calm just 5 minutes away from hustle and bustle. We decided to visit the cafe first which was really nicely decorated and quaint. The lady that served us was friendly and polite. It cost £7.50 for 2 lattes, a slice of pecan pie... More

Rivelin is where i grew up and it hasn't changed much over the years, some good conservation work has been going on but still needs lots more resources. You can have a nice stroll or a day out walking by the river. Wear good shoes and cross over the road at the z-bends, its quieter up there and a lovely... More

A restbite from busy city life, the trail is great for a short (or long) walk, whether you're with dogs, children or just by yourself, this trail is a great and peaceful walk...

This is a lovely walk to have with the other half, just remember to take a jacket as it can get quite breezy up there

This walk starts to have appeal after you get past the parking, the play area and the allotments. It takes about a mile, but once you get there, the path is clear and the surrounding forest is lovely. There are occasionally steeper side paths where you can take a break from the flat river path, but some of the most... More

Grew up in the area but found I had missed out on so much that was on my doorstep. Too many fauna and flora to view and I don't much on that side anyway. Beautiful countryside peaceful - you'd never believe you were just a few miles from the city centre

Great nature trails, rambling streams, and pretty countryside. Plus the added attraction of a view of early industrial history of the Sheffield area - man-made ponds creating spillways to run grinding wheels
