Our family took a bus tour to Oxford University. I didn't expect the buildings to be enchanting seems like they popped out from story books. We visited Christ Church College where Harry Potter was filmed. When I saw the film years ago, I thought the building/school came out of the film makers' pure imagination. Apparently, that imaginary world does exists... More

Was in London for a week in Oct 2011 and deided to spend a day in Oxford. The train trip from London Paddington was just under 1hr and quite cheap (5 pounds) and comfortable. Trains run every hr there and back during the week so very convenient. Upon arrival it took about 15 mins to walk to the Oxford Tourist... More

We had a great time, the guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour is well worth going on and wound its way around some interesting and spooky sites. Recommended. More

Oxford is a great city to walk around as it central and flat. The Red Bus is fantastic. Make sure you use the park and ride and if you have a bus pass, its free. Some of the colleges were closed due to exams etc.Cambridge is much larger and better buildings though. More

This 90 min excursion is a great way to get to know the history of the university! You actually visit a couple of the main colleges and their hidden gems. The guide was very professional and cheerful, encouraging to ask as many questions as possible and even putting to the test the knowledge of some Harry Potter fans :) Do... More

As a historian from the States on my first visit to Oxford, I wanted a first-rate overview of the city's reknowned colleges. When I probed a bit further, he possessed an insightful grasp on historical facts that enlivened the sights we visited. Unlike the bus tours (obviously),... More
