We promise a unique opportunity to discover the hidden magic of our ancient City through the real art of storytelling. Tales are drawn from the immense history of York and are told against a backdrop of haunting beauty. We walk in the very footsteps of those who have passed before. « less

Now, the first time I went on this walk was 1994 - 19 years on it's still as good. The stories are a mix of chilling and light hearted, expertly delivered by Mark Graham, who after several trips on this tour is still as engaging as ever, to kids of any age. No gimmicks, no costumes - pure good old... More

Excellent entertainment from Chris. Amazing performance from someone who has obviously delivered the Ghost Walk many times over the 4 years he has been doing it. Not a scary experience like some would be expecting but a great way to spend an evening.

This is highly recommended for people who have children. A nice activity to do with the family. Unfortunately we do not have children and we were looking for a more serious experience, we wanted a real encounter with the paranormal. It turned out to be a guided tour around the city with a very unique character telling spooky stories that... More

Despite the night being incredibly cold, our tour guide kept us entertained (and moving) throughout the night. He really made what could've been an average tour in a memorable experience, and he mixed great, eery storytelling with humor. Something you must do while in York!

Loved it. The mature chap was well rehearsed and looked the part. He had a great voice and persona for telling a chilling tale....dramatic pause....and the stories were interesting and suitably spooky. Very enjoyable!

A truly entertaining experience, was sceptical about going on a ghost walk at first but I am glad I did. Been twice now and will no doubt will go again when am back in York. Trevor the tour guide is the original ghost walk tour guide and is very entertaining as he tells the various ghost story's, definite value for... More

If you go on a ghost walk for a "Most Haunted" experience seeing orbs and hearing mysterious tapping then you will be disappointed. If you want a couple of hours of entertainment, hearing interesting and gruesome stories and seeing a bit of the city, then you will enjoy it. The guide was Chris, and despite the terrible wind and the... More

Really enjoyed this tour. The guide, Mark, couldn't have been more attentive to the group, got the feeling, he genuinely really cared about the crowd he was dealing with. Many stories were told, which covered both history and ghosts. Very humorous at points and with tasteful ghost stories and storytelling, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to... I don't know about you, but you can fall into the trap of never appreciating your own hometown until you see it through the eyes of an outsider? Enter the visitors. With friends wanting to spend an evening in York it is with my great shame that I admit they were the ones to encourage me to go on this... More

With a crowd of around 80 people on the walk at £5 per adult this is a money-spinner. A few interesting but definitely non-scary stories with many pauses and stumbles in delivery and far too many name drops about the various TV shows the guide has been involved in. The walk starts at the Kings Arms (where our guide appeared... More
