My view of this is very simple, stunning building, so much detail. You can see that this building was originally made to govern the most important empire on earth (for its time). Well worth a visit!!!!!!!

We visited in the hope we would see or get to meet an MP. Fat chance! But we looked around at this magnificent building, bought a few trinkets and had tea in the cafe. Good stuff!
We went for one of the tours round Westminster. It was fabulous, our guide was called Alan and he really knew his stuff. He had been working there for 20 years. The tour lasted about 1.5 hrs and there was a lot of walking to be done. Alan had a great sence of humor and made the history interesting.

Could not go inside the building but it's beautiful architecture..... Must visit due if you want to get few clicks of your with Big Ben in the background ...... Live protests across the road add to the aura .....
She is the Mother of Parliaments - and full of eccentricities.
If you are British, you can ask your local MP to make the arrangements for free, but anyone can pay to tour the buildings that date back in places to 1099.
The tour takes in both Houses of Parliament (always providing the Lords and the MPs are not sitting)....

The Houses of Parliament are a Gothic Revival Masterpiece. Great History and a working seat of government. Very cool.
Had a tour of the facility and really enjoyed. The history of the buildings facscinating and seeing the house of coms & Lords in the flesh was a revealation.
it was very interesting and well worth the visit. Not many places to sit so be prepared t be on your feet a lot.
This is an amazing tour if you can get booked on one. I went through my local MP. I even got a visit to Big Ben, it's a separate tour but a great trip if you can get that too.
we could only see the parliament from outside, in fact we mistook it for westminster abbe. we had seen the virtual tour available at the official website but since we were away at Edinburgh on Saturday, we could not book the tour...definitely regret
