The museum itself was quite small but it was well laid out and the history of the transport in London was very interesting. Although we didn't have any children with us there were lots of things to interest children as well as adults. The only real complaint I have is the café, the price we paid for the food we... More

This was my second visit here, the first was many years ago. I enjoyed it more this time, as I was allowed to take pictures! Also there was an exhibit of Tube poster art, fascinating. Be warned there will probably be a school group (or 2 or 10) there with kids running around but what a fun place for them.... More

For anyone with even a passing interest in the London tube and transport this is essential. Really good story of the development of the tube as well as overground services. The history and construction is well explained With good activities for kids and enough detail for adults.

An ok museum, but was expecting it to be a lot better. It's on 3 levels with real-life exhibits of trams, train carriages, buses and the like. You start at the top and work your way down. There was a lot of interesting information, but I'm not sure who the museum is designed for. Kids love the real-life exhibits because... More

this is ok but its quite small and they dont have that many things that can be climbed on - an hour is probably enough to see it all. your ticket lasts for a year so you can revisit for free.

I always wanted to see this and wasn't disappointed. Of course, more is always better. Somehow there needs to be an exhibit on the Thames as a transportation link, but perhaps there is another museum somewhere that I missed. The buses and trollies were in beautiful condition and the posters commemorating 150 years were beautiful examples of design. There were... More

Special exhibit on the artwork of the London Underground *highly* recommended if you like art and recent history. The kids were entertained. If you go on a Thursday (check this to make sure), outside in the market square they have *the best* vendors I have seen anywhere. But they are only there one day a week. (Even on the days... More

An excellent museum with plenty of interesting exhibits, excellent well-stocked gift shop and a lovely cafeteria on the first floor known as The Upper Level. Become a Friend of the Museum and you will enjoy free access and a 20% discount on purchases in the cafe and gift shop.

Great posters, great location plus various old carriages of tube trains from years ago give you a real feel for the history of London Transport. Not just for the anoraks......though it does help a little!!

The London Transport Museum is located in Covent Gardens. It is exhibits of old London subways, trams and buses. It is child friendly with interactive exhibits where they can make believe they are driving a train. There is a large gift shop with an outstanding selection of books and vidoes on English transportation.
