As a couple, we had a full day session (via ferrata and ghyll scrambling). If you can overcome fear of heights and get to grips with the simple safety system, the VF is an unrivalled experience. Definitely the closest I will come to rock climbing. If like me you are unfamiliar beforehand with exactly what it is like, watch their... More

We wanted a fun filled day & that's exactly what we got. Alastair was extremely accommodating by organising the day on relatively short notice for us despite us only being a small group. We arrived to rain, but it certainly didn't hamper the experience. We spent the morning with Phil & Emma our instructors doing the Extreme Via Feratta. They... More

I have to admit when I first heard the maid of honour had lined up for the hen and our flock, the snow had me desperate to say in front of the fire in my onesie, BUT I have to say our weekend was amazing! Sliding, jumping, diving, through the ghyll was an absolute rush... I soon forgot the waters... More

The drive to Penrith over Hardknott pass in the snow was certainly exhilarating, but it was nothing compared to diving off icy rocks into a freezing ghyll! Don't be put off by the cold weather - the multiple wetsuits provided keep out the cold and we were able to stay in the water for almost an hour without any problems.... More

We initially signed up for Gyhll scrambling, but with temperatures low we decided on a more leisurely canoeing trip on Derwent Water. The instructor was informative and friendly and the activity was relaxing and the views were outstanding. A great alternative to a walk around the lake!

I did the Ghyll Scrambling with my daughter, and we both very much enjoyed it. The activity itself probably lasts about an hour, with the rest of the time spent getting kitted up, stripping off and travelling, but an hour is about the right length of time. It certainly gets the adrenaline pumping and although not technically challenging, you need... More

My freinds and I hired a cottage to stay in for three days and came across a leaflet for this adventure centre, we decided to give it a go, upon arrival we were greeted by alistair and Jason who were extremely funny and welcoming, we were given clear instuctions but made it full of banter and not your usual boring... Did the Via Ferrata with Keswick Adventure Centre. Had a great time, well organized and informative, wish they could have taken some photos as I was too busy hanging on. Recommended.

We went Ghyll Scrambling on our honeymoon and it was one of the most fun things I have ever done!! The instructor (Jason?) was exactly the right amount of challenging vs encouraging. I laughed all the time and could not stop smiling afterwards. Amazing!!!

On a cold October day we joined another family and enjoyed Jason's Ghyll Scramble. He held the group together well and kept spirits up.
