Visited this May Bank Holiday - beautiful weather, beautiful flowers and blossom. Lovely walk alongside the river. Great to see so many people enjoying this open space. Tatty in places - especially the graffiti under the flyover - a pity.
The gardens are bisected by the river on which there are regular boat trips. There are lots of beautiful trees and flower borders and plenty of space for children to play
What a fine asset to the town. Full of flowers and lovely trees. A spectacular Oriental Plane tree attracts a lot of attention near The Tower House. The river adds even more to the pleasant walks. Well done the council!

Great place to "take a load off" whilst visiting Canterbury. Always well kept and planted with colourful flowers. A welcome oasis and you can walk from there all the way to Chartham 5 miles into the countryside.
They could be lovely, but the people there make them a state. Although YouTube sensations ISawATrout record their videos here sometimes. So if you see them, ask for an autograph!
A lovely place for a picnic when the weather is nice and a nice place for a walk regardless of the weather as long as it is dry. Can get pretty packed in lovely weather.
Always my first choice on a summers day. The gardens are splendid and the people it attracts fill the atmosphere with that sublime summer feeling. Great for children too if you carry on to the end there is a play park.
