Private compartment!! Very well run takes you back to the days of steam! Very well organised and good value for money
My wife and I went to Norden car park for the trip to Swanage by the steam railway with our dog on Monday 3rd June. We paid the price of £10-50p each for the return journey plus £1 each way for our dog having paid also at the car park some £3 for the day. The trip is novel and...

A wonderful trip! IT great to be on a real train again....It took us back to our childhood in the fifties and the service from the staff was excellent. IT was nice to see a real guard blowing a whistle and waving a flag.
My wife and I jumped aboard the Bistro train last night and what a treat we had. All of the staff were brilliant and extremely welcoming. The food was home made and delicious and simply excellent value for money. We felt like a million dollars as we watched the scenery slowly pass by whilst we were waited on by the...

The red...

Every time I visit such railways it takes me back to my first job when leaving school in the final days of steam on British Railways. This preserved line is one of the best especially around Corfe with its views and history. Where would Swanage be today without the foresight of the railway preservationist.
