Since 1986, the business has taken the venue from strength to strength, with their acclaimed variety shows now running virtually all year round. You will find magic in abundance this year, with the all-new show, SPELLBOUND. The show promises you an explosion of exhilarating splendour, a cast to surpass the boundaries of talent, with comedy, illusion, song and dance to enthral.Director and producer Colin Matthews has bought together for your viewing pleasure, stars of stage, screen and the music industry to enable him to conjure up a cornucopia of entertainment. Albeit he maintains his long-held custom of offering live variety shows in a traditional mix, which is backed by up-to-the-minute visual effects and lighting technology. Headlining is Phil Lowen, a zany, energetic, very visual and hilarious comedy impressionist. Joining Phil on stage is the diminutive, Dean Winters with his big voice and cheeky manner he is a versatile performer. As is the bewitching international, singing sensation, Keedie she is as adept at interpreting a pop song, as she is the most opulent of arias, she is extraordinary! With, Babbacombe favourite, West End vocalist Paul Cobley also able to push boundaries with his vocal chords, expect to be whisked away, as their voices will ring together as one.The British Magical Champion of Illusion is the shows special guest star. Daniel Dean has a natural flair to captivate you with his mastery for magic and illusion. Capturing the ambience of all that’s mystical is another stunning vocalist Stephanie Blackler. Winner of Torbay’s Got Talent in 2010 Stephanie will champion some superb show songs and win you over with her mesmerising stage presence. It is no mystery as to why the vivacious, Danze Magique can charm an audience. Daring are the talents of resident choreographer, Georgia Lee, her skilful musical interpretation combines well with the exciting arrangements of Pete Leonard and the versatile dancers make light work of her highly energised routines. The real secret to the magic of variety lies in the performances, and collectively everybody involved in Spellbound, including the junior cast Trix, want to turn illusion into reality. So come along to the Babbacombe Theatre and share in the enchantment. The theatre has – · Access for the disabled with a disabled toilet· Wheelchair spaces · Loop SystemFor details on all the shows programmed at the venue refer to the website, or contact the box office. « less

Well worth the money, especially, like another reviewer said, when transport from the hotel is included. Without that transport the theatre may well not have been as full, with 5 or 6 coaches bringing folk. Great that the coach companies co-operate in this way. A problem with a mike for a singer, on the evening we visited, and a hand... More

The compere was extremely funny and the female and male singers have beautiful voices. the whole show was well worth the price of £17.00 which in our case included a pick up and return to hotel
