It was suggested to us by friends that we visited Babbacombe and we are so pleased we did. What a tranquil and beautiful coastal village. We had lunch overlooking the sea. We then walked down through the trees to the beach . A lovely way to spend an afternoon .
Beautiful Babbacombe , stunning coastline and coastal walks. Very good eating places along the Downs, excellent accomodation available all over the area from budget accomodation to high class . Cliff Railway to Oddicombe beach very convenient and lovely walk around the bay to Babbacombe beach and the Cary Arms .
We live in paignton,but always visit babbacombe once a week its such an idilic spot with lovely scenic views and there is a old fashioned tea rooms there called Angels where they serve the tea in old fashioned tea pots,cups & saucers it takes you down memory lane.Then when you have had your fill why not try the cliff railway... This is a great little spot. First off, you can have a stroll along the lovingly manicured garden on top of the cliffs - and possibly take a picture or two with a gorilla!
