The views were amazing and we even did a boat trip to make the most of the day. The weather definitely helped with beaming sunshine and clear blue skies
What isn't there to like, definitely enjoyed best on the water. Really is one of the best views in the west country.
We did this 1 hour trip around the Sound and the dockyards with Skipper Ray.
The boat was an appropriate craft well equipped with both open and enclosed decks and a bar selling both hot and cold drinks. The price was very reasonable for the length of the tour and the quality of the boat and crew.

Always something to see, Ferries, commercial ships, all types of sailing vessels and of cause the Navy.One of the best views in the world , not to be missed.
Nice place for a walk in the evening. Some cafes scattered about. If you keep walking down will take you to the barbican where there are LOADs of eating joints most of which are very good. Plenty of paid parking around. Views are great. Worh a visit.
Went to watch Madam Butterfly and it was a great experience. The auditorium is one of the loveliest I've visited and most comfortable.
This place has seen much over the years, both in war time and in peace. The views across Drakes Island vary depending on the weather and it is a natural space for many events during the summer. Which includes the international fire work competition held in August were it hold countless numbers.
