Great spot to park and enjoy the lovely view across the Sound. Also handy to park when visiting Royal William Yard.

a spot where families have waved off their loved ones going to see for hundreds of years. Try and get there on a thursday when the fleet undertakes their weekly exercises. You can get a close up of a navy warship as it sails by and wave to the crew lined up on deck. The views up the Tamar and... More

I regard this park as stretching from the west side of the entrance to Millbay just below the Longroom port control, along the waterside footpath back to the Artillery Tower then on up alongside the south wall of RWY and past the car park around or over the corner dropping down to the fishing ledge just on the south east... Devils Point is just an area of Plymouth which happens to be the narrowest point between Devon and Cornwall, ideal for watching ships go in and out of the dockyard. It is just a public park and not much more.

If you like to sit and chill out this is the place for you, probably one of the best views in Plymouth looking out over Plymouth Sound. You can geta coffee and sandwich from the cafe if needed and just around the corner are some wonderful pubs and eating places.

Devils point is just below the dockyard and a stones throw from the Cornish side, but I would not recommend swimming it due to rip tides. The view across the sound will keep you entertained especially when the Navy ar eon the move.

A little shack sells fresh snacks and makes great mugs of tea which you can take on to the steps by the beach and just spend ages there watching the waves. 12 years ago it was where I dated my now husband and so we still go back on a regular basis to watch the water and have a cuppa... More

On a nice day this is a lovely walk which overlooks the river Tamar and with close up views of Drakes Island and Mt Edgecumbe Park in Cornwall. Several old Gun turrets from world war 2 are still there and you can walk around them. Ok for fishing but have to be extremly careful as river is really fast flowing... More
