lovely place to spend a day, plenty to see and do especially if you time your visit with one of their attraction days [ we went to see the jousting]
Stunning views but so little to see. Only there for half an hour and not really worth the entrance fee
We had to come back after the first full day as there was so much to see and admire. The Castle itself is spectacular, so are the views over the estuary. You must not miss the tractor tour of the grounds to see the wild life - deer and birding aplenty! The bird of prey show was very good and... More
We go to Powderham at least once a year, mainly when the bird of prey displays are on. Tour is very good and tractor around the grounds is a good trip but maybe a little bit much to charge for this on top of the entrance fee
Reasonably price, went on 28th October during Shriek week, the children really enjoyed the spooky tour of the castle with the theatre group. Lovey grounds and castle. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Had a great time at the shriek week show! The Pocketwatch Theatre team put on a scintillating spooky show of supreme fright, fear and fun!
I took my son today , i am ashamed that i have never paid a visit having been born and brought up in Devon i have only seen the castle from the road, my son persuaded me to go today . I am glad we did , It is spectacular, we saved 20% on the admission by a quick search... More

The only hot meal available was jacket potatoes and they ran out of these! The deer park is lovely from the rose garden of the castle but... More
