Went for the ladies day racing with friends, only downer was the weather, other than that a good day out
Had a great day at the races. We had lunch at the White Horse Restaurant which is on the course. Food was excellent and the staff were first class.
Love Chester races, go every year. Great excuse for a day out with friends, but also family. The race course clearly tries to reach all ages, with its family Roman day, small fair. Food slightly expensive but I think to be expected with such a event. Plenty of choices of food and drink (alcoholic or otherwise). The different sections of...

Don't confuse going to a race course for a day out with anything to do with gambling. It's just a great event, the fun of dressing up- being part of a vibrant atmosphere.
Cost isn't to be taken lightly- very easy to spend in excess of £200+ even if you don't gamble. Set a generous budget and go and have...

We booked a hospitality package in The Final Furlong. Food, service, location could not be bettered. The sun even came out and we had 3 winners out of 5 races. People watching was nearly as good as the racing!!
This racecourse has all the fun and atmosphere of the larger ones, but because it is smaller, everything is so much closer. We go as part of a corporate day, but all types of guests are catered for. And the 1539 restaurant has great views as well as food.
Tight circular course on an old flood plain of the River Dee in a fabulous old walled city. Racing can be viewed for free from the Roman walls or from ther Grosvenor bridge. As can be expected drinks are not cheap (£4 for a bottle of beer). If the weather bears up this is a great day out.
