We visited Cambridge for the day last Friday, and decided that the best way to see the sights was via one of the Tours that start from the Tourist Information Centre, and an inspired decision it turned out to be. Our group numbered 20 and featured visitors from all over the world, we took the 11am tour and our guide... More

I arranged for a guided walking tour for a group of eleven through Cambridge Tour Guides, (www.cambridgetourguide.co.uk) . Our guide, Tony, was excellent and quickly established a great rapport with the group. Some of us had limited mobility and Tony conducted the tour so that we saw a lot of interesting things in a relatively small area. We all enjoyed... More

Joined the walk leaving from King's College. The walking tour was for an hour and a half. Very interesting and our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable.

Very interesting and informative including entertaining snippets of local knowledge. Really interesting tour of queen's college and then leaves everyone at the end of the tour in king's college to wander around. A wonderful way of seeing some sights not visible from the fronts of the college. A must do to get the most out of your stay in only... More

Our guide Susan, was lovely and very knowledgable about the area and the University. She was able to answer all our questions with insight and detail. We visited Kings College and Pemberton College both of which were beautiful with stunning buildings and amazing architecture. We also visited St Benet's Church which was lovely but I felt sorry for the person... More

This is the best way to see Cambridge if you're new to Cambridge, as we were. The guide was a little patronising ("there's no-one chewing gum here is there?" she said when we were going in to King's College Chapel, and, once in there, she told one of the group off for touching the woodwork on the grounds that "if... Our guide (Jane or Janet) was just wonderful. She's lived in Cambridge for a very long, knows many of the people, and can recount history splendidly. I went on the two hour tour, which included Queens College and Kings College. Wonderful, wonderful tour.

...it is. It might not be the cheapest tour but it is in no way overpriced as its worth every penny. Some very insightful history and just the right balance between keeping it factual and interesting. Also a decent enough pace so that we (both 29) did not feel like it was too slow and some older people in the... More

An excellent and very informative tour, ours by Steve. Fully agree with the other "excellent" reviews. We had a cold and damp day, but the two hours went past so quickly as we were absorbed in the experience. Totally recommended!

We booked a guided tour of Cambridge through the Tourist Information Centre as we wanted to get an insight into the history of Cambridge. By doing this tour we got a good description by our tour guide of all the colleges within Cambridge and we were able to go into parts of Kings college and Queens College and learn the... More
