Have been to the Colston Hall at least 8 times normally to see comedians. The theatre is well situated in the centre of town and as we book a hotel in town we have no problem with parking. Do have a problem with the massive queues at the bar during the interval. We asked if we could order interval drinks... More

Visited Colston Hall on 20th May - saw Stand Up (Again) for Comedy - what a fantastic show. The Colston Hall was well signposted and easy to find with parking at the Trenchard Street car park just opposite. We were in the back stalls but had a super view; the only downside was the rather uncomfortable seating (maybe felt more... More

Went to the Colston Hall to see Micky Flannagan. He was excellent !!!! highly recommend seeing him in the flesh or DVD. Affordable sensible prices. Negatives of Colston Hall - Parking and Bar too small. We need a Colston Hall on the outskirts of town - Cribbs Causeway area. Proper parking (free).

Bristol's full of hills - Colston Hall is full of stairs. Maybe the two go together and the locals are happy with their up and down existence but there are not enough lifts and too many stairs. For those, like me, who hate heights the stairways with see-through treads suspended in the middle of nowhere in the huge reception area,... More

Don't refurbish it! It's good as it is. The bar service was quick in the interval, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - especially the ushers.

The Colston Hall tries to punch above its weight - The tickets are over-priced and the venue is poor : the seats are truely awful in the stalls (as one other reviewer put it, there is more room on a plane). The bars are very over-priced (go out and get an ice cream or a drink from the newsagent or... More

We went to see Jimmy Carr here. Jimmy himself was amazing. Surroundings were shoddy to be honest, even Jimmy mentioned that all the money was spent on the lavish entrance and not a penny in the actual hall where you spend hour's! I'm disabled and mentioned this when booking thinking I would get an "ok" seat. HOW WRONG ALL seats... More

We went to see Micky Flanagan on Friday night and had seats in the grand circle front row. A decent enough view we thought. The seating arrangement however let the place down. I haven't got the longest legs in the world but even I was in the throws of dvt and post performance I had swollen calf muscles. There is... More

Liked the fact that we got to queue inside for the gig instead of the usual waiting in the cold street. Disliked no real beer at the bar just boring lager

This has some wonderful artists playing at this venue. It has plenty of parking around and about. I always ensure I have a good place to view. It is sloped though so I suppose most places have a good view. The place has a lovely vibe about it. Only negative I suppose is the bar is a little pricey but... More
