After visiting the Caen Memorial, we visited the Utah Beach D-Day museum. We are very glad we made the effort to get there. Along the route, we also visited St. Mere Eglise, the Major Dick Winters sculpture, St. Marie du Mont and several other sites. We were short on time but could have easily spent a couple of days in... April 5 read about Jenny McCutcheon's visit to Utah Beach at venturegalleries.com This destination will be rewarding for Normandy Invasion history buffs. Beware the museum at Utah Beach is closed the months of December and January.

Utah beach complex is worth visiting. There is a big field to park in. You can see the outdoor memorial & bunkers, spend time on the accessible sandy beach, eat at the restaurant (there is a recreated WWII bar inside and the building is partly bunkers) and go to the modern museum. Since it cost 7.50 euros for adults and... More

My wife and I visited the musuem during our three day visit to the area. I am a WW2 buff and was looking forward to visiting the beaches. The museum was very nice and well worth the time to visit and learn about what happened on Utah beach. The museum has many artifacts and equipment. Once you have completed your... More

Certainly a visit you must make while there to just support these men who were there and didin't come back....To see the equipment and imagine life as a GI is certainly worth this visit....

Worth a visit! There is the obligatory history lesson in great detail on what happened on site which is interesting, just a lot to take up. There us a Mitchell bomber placed in a see-through hangar which is impressive and a landing craft as you go upstairs. As you then make your way to the front of the museum towards... More

Have visited before some years ago, but this was the first time we'd been to see the new addition. Found it to be good value for money and very interesting. Good place to visit

I thought I knew about the Normandy Landings until we came to this museum. So much information given in such a way that it would be impossible for even the most cynical to be bored! Beautifully written accounts of each hour of the day and the sequence I which it all happened. Gives an account of personnel involved , how... More
