Wow, what a great trip. Saw it all. Beautiful islands, whales, seals, birds, even a family group of 3 bears. This was apparently the first trip this year but you couldn't tell. Al and Toddy work together as a seamless team to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. Plenty of local history and commentary to provide the full... More

My wife and I spent a week on Vancouver Island. We put 2,000 km on our rental car seeing many great sights, but by far the highlight our our trip was our Archipelago Wildlife Cruise. The morning started out with fog, but Al and Toddy were determine to make sure the 12 guest had a great experience. They took us... More

The tour was okay, but the owners were a little over-the-top in how strongly they urged and requested a good review in Trip Advisor. There were also way too many commercials for other businesses in the area. We wanted to change the channel after a while. They also stressed how much a part of the experience it was to purchase... We are sorry there were things you did not like about our tour. We take all comments seriously and consider each one. We approach no one individually about Trip Advisor. Instead Al speaks to everyone over the radio: “In the seven years we’ve been in business Trip Advisor has become the most essential part of marketing. If you are computer... More

We booked our trip with archipelago cruises about a year in advance our holiday to Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, based on the excellent reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. We went on the trip in September of this year, the weather was very good, the boat was full and we had a fantastic day.The hosts were... More

This was a good trip - BUT it was annoying to be told that the sea otter that featured heavily in the advertising had not been seen for 3 YEARS - He was firmly of the opinion that commercial fishermen are not responsible for environmental problems - and did he ever go on about it! Can you guess what they... More

We appreciate all reviews on trip advisor. We will address each of your comments as we feel they are important. Our web site states that the odd sea otter can be seen but not daily. Our brochure shows one photo and lists sea otters along with the other mammals we hope to encounter. Ollie, who turned into lunch for an... More

This trip exceeded my expectations. Toddy and Al immediately made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. They went above and beyond to find whales for us, even though everyone else told us they had left the area days ago. They were informative and knew their stuff from years of commercial fishing. If you go, invest in the lunch. Very good quality.... More

The boattrip to the Broken Group Islands was THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip on Vancouver Island. Extensive wildlife adventure; superb lunch in magical scenery; Great expertise with a personal touch on board. Highly recommended! Beitj and Gerard (Holland)

Toddy and Al were the perfect host and hostess for our recent wildlife cruise. We were there on 10/6/2012 - we saw 15 yes 15) whales - they were jumping, breaching, spy hopping, laying beside the boat, you name it, there were in a good and happy mood that day. We also saw more Eagles than we could count, California... More

We went on this luxury 5 hour boat trip to watch whales, sea lions and seals etc. The owners of the boat were very entusiastic and we found our whales even though a bit out of season. A vry nice day. You can order gourmet lunch or you may bring your own sandwiches as we did! Bring warm clothes

We had an excellent time even though the weather didn't cooperate. The boat (which Al and Toddy live on) is very comfortable and they are very cordial and knowledgeable since they have fished and sailed in this area for decades. We saw whales, bears, sea lions, seals, eagles and many other birds. The ability to move around and talk with... More
